One Year Manufacturer Warranty

CONFORMING TO INDUSTRY STANDARDS

Elegant Wood Products, Inc. warranties its products against manufacturing defects for a period of one year from date of shipment to the retailer. It is the responsibility of the customer, contractor, architect, installer, and finisher to follow these requirements and conditions stated below:

Before installation of Elegant Wood Products, Inc. Doors:

  • Check the building codes and regulations for your area.
  • Check door for warping*, glass, moulding, manufacturing defect and freight damage.
  • Do not cut, hang, or finish a door without first checking items #1 and #2.
  • Hanging and Finishing Elegant Wood Products, Inc. Doors:
  • Door must be fully sealed on all six sides (including behind hinges and hardware) with an approved exterior finish or paint within 24 hours after hanging.
  • Stained doors must have at least 3 finish coats (Polyurethane or Varathane).
  • All doors must have adequate protection **against direct sunlight, rain, wind, abnormal heat and sudden changes in temperatures.
  • In order not to induce warping and cracking, do not expose stained doors or dark colored doors to direct sunlight or southwestern exposure.

Elegant Wood Products, Inc. Warranty:

  • Elegant Wood Products, Inc. will not assume any responsibility or cost for re-hanging, installation, re-finishing and/or disposal.
  • In case of a defective door, it is the option of Elegant Wood Products, Inc. to

a) repair the door(s)
b) replace the door(s)
c) refund the purchase price of the door(s).

ATTENTION: ALL OF THE ABOVE CONDITIONS MUST BE MET TO VALIDATE YOUR WARRANTY.

* Elegant Wood Products, Inc. does not cover warp which does not exceed 1/4" in the plane of the door panel itself; any warp for a 3'6" wide by 8' 0" high or door panels wider and/or higher are not guaranteed for warp.

** Adequate protection from weather is determined by the following: measure from the bottom of the door to where the overhang joins the wall (A). This measurement is then divided by 2 (B). This (B) is minimum distance your overhang must extend from the face of the door for full warranty coverage. Example: A = 90" B must equal 45" or greater for warranty coverage.
