Built to Last
At the core of each of our eco-friendly entrance system is quality construction. We have combined state-of-the-art construction methods with time proven techniques. We selected the best features from industry leaders and combined them to create a superior quality unit that not only looks beautiful, but is engineered for life.
Engineered Split Proof Panels
Our panels are constructed with a ¼” sheet of HDF between two ¾” thick solid pieces of the desired wood. HDF adds rigidity to minimize checking or splitting while still remaining flexible enough to stop expansion and contraction with changing weather conditions. We also pre-stain our panels prior to construction to prevent any raw wood sightlines to develop over time with changing weather conditions.
Engineered Stiles and Rails
All of the pieces used to build our stiles and rails are hand selected and arranged to maximize strength. We begin by arranging small pieces of the selected wood (mahogany, cherry, ash, oak or teak) into a butcher-block configuration with alternating grain directions. This not only gives it strength, but prevents warping and bowing over time. The butcher-block assembly is then laminated between two ¼” sheets of the same wood. This outer layer provides a consistent seamless surface that is thick enough to sand, repair, or refinish several times, unlike cheap veneers which can de-laminate and can’t be refinished.
Doweled Construction
The stiles and rails are then assembled around the pre-stained split proof panels. This process involves joining the stiles and rails with a series of slots and dowels. The panels are left floating so they won’t split or crack with changing environmental conditions.
Raised Moulding Both Sides
After all of the components are assembled, raised molding is applied to both sides. The door is then sent to our state-of-the-art finish facility for its final step before packaging.

Pre-hung Specs and Swing
All of our entry units are factory pre-hung and pre-finished saving you time and money. Each door is then assembled in our standard 5-1/4” solid wood jambs with genuine Q-Lon© weather stripping. We use aluminum adjustable sills, 4” ball bearing hinges and heavy duty door sweeps for proper fit and energy efficiency.
All of our entry door systems are kiln dried, milled, constructed, finished and then pre-hung in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility; this allows us to ensure a proper seal, precise fitting, and consistent quality. All of our standard entry door units are in-swing; out-swing may be ordered for an additional fee and may require a longer processing time. To determine whether you require a right-hang swing or a left-hand swing please reference the diagram below.
